The ActiveRain Referral Network

By
Real Estate Agent with AllMountainRealty.com

One of the tools here on ActiveRain is it's great referral network. I have received business and closed deals from it. Here is why it is important to me. You can post on the network and when you get responses look at agents profiles here on ActiveRain. How a person blogs and what is in their profile gives you a good indication of how they will treat your valuable referral. I have given more thank 20 referrals out that I can think of. The major criteria I used was the profile of the other agent and their blog.

Using the referral network is superior in my opinion to the option of blindly throwing out a lead to a company that has the same name as yours in another area. Now if you know who you are dealing with fine. But if you do not, use the network here at ActiveRain. I have never regretted any agent I referred to. Not every referral has led to a deal . But every client was treated well and worked with a high degree of professionalism.

Just participating in AR is such a statment on wanting to improve your skills and continue to learn in this ever changing profession. I can't think of a better referral system.

Charlie, one measure I use here on AR is that if a blogger does NOT respond to comments I figure they are only interested in what they themselves have to say and do not listen to others. If I'm going to refer someone it will be to someone who listens AND responds.

Charlie,

Not many referrals to or from my rural area. When I've had one to offer, I usually go straight to an AR blogger with whom I've already cultivated an online friendship.  The couple posted on the formal system for my area were really spammy advertisements, not referrals.

The referral network is one of the biggest benefits of having an ActiveRain membership. In addition to making friends, it's a good way to make some dough.

Charlie, this is what ActiveRain is all about - networking. The referral network is a great place to start. Thanks for the reminder.

I've looked at the referral network but there are very few referrals for Northern California.  Those that do pop up are usually for low cost homes 30+ miles from Silicon Valley.  I'm not sure why that is.

Hi Charlie...In answer to your question about checking back to see responses to my comments, sometimes I do.  If I really want to see additional comments and the response to me I check the box.

I've been the recipient of referrals and have been able to do the same for others.  It's been great.
