According to a study conducted in 2000 on 300 patients who were allergic to acts, those with dark-colored cats were two to four times more likely to have allergic reactions than people who had a cat with a light color or had no cat at all. Hmmm. Although the study was too small to be statistically relevant to the general population, it does give one hope. Of course, an easier way to deal with cat allergies if you just have to have a cat is to use HEPA air filters, allergy shots, medications, keeping the cat out of the bedroom, and bathing it often. ♪♫♫♫♪ If you're looking for a great real estate agent in San Diego, well, I'm available 24/7, so feel free to contact me by phone or email. Like the wet cat photo... I do have a cat allergy and have often wondered if bathing them would help.... most cats aren't too fond of the solution!
Interesting- My wife just recently found out that she hascat allergies. She has had a cat since she was a child. I"ll have her read this and see what she thinks.
I didn't know there was a difference, as many people just assume they are allergic to cats, end of story. Thanks for posting.
Interesting! My one cat likes to crawl in bed in the middle of the might and cuddle with my face. Waking up at 3 a.m. with a mouthful of fur is not fun. But otherwise she's a great pet!
Fascinating! Who knew that hair color could make a difference. Although, if I tried to wash my cats, I would need to go to the ER to get stitches. I can't imagine them letting me do that!
That picture of the wet cat is just adorable. I don't know about that study though. My husband's brother is allergic to cats and has quite a bad reaction at his mother's house where she has 2 light cats. Hhmmmm....interesting theory though.

Well, actually some cats bring less issues to their owner. One day, I'd like to have that bold cat: Sphynx:)
