My family was heading home from church tonight and were stopped at a stop light behind a truck. When the light changed and everyone else started moving except us, we were a little perplexed. At first we thought to beep the horn and give the guy a little nudge. Everyone else was going around and beeping at us, but then we realized that he was broken down and knew we had to see if he needed help.
Long story short, his truck wouldn't start, we jumped it 3 or 4 times, it started each time, but wouldn't hold a charge. Once we even got it going and followed him up the road, but his battery just wouldn't keep a charge and he pulled over to the side of the highway. We ended up taking him in our car and driving him home where he could get someone to follow him out to get the car towed.
We realize that these days it is a little sketchy to stop on the road to help someone out, but it is just something we had to do. I hope it made his Holidays a little better.
