Recreational Real Estate still HOT!

If you are wondering what area in Real Estate has not been severely affected, you might be surprised to know Recreational and Sporting property sales continue during this Real Estate funk.  To the surprise of many real estate experts, the sale of recreational properties in the United States remains strong despite significant downturns in the national housing market.  "It's all about perspective," said David Nelson.  Manager of Cabela's Trophy Properties LLC, a recreational property listing service offered by the outdoor experts at Cabela's.  "Decisions to invest in commercial and residential property are usually based on profit potential.  That's why a declining market scares off buyers and creates panic among sellers.  But we are seeing continued strong demand for recreational land by those who are interested in preserving a place for their outdoor pursuits."

With an unstable Stock Market seeing daily swings in the hundreds, investors are seeking opportunities to purchase real estate with future appreciation and amenities to use today.  "We purchased a small tract in Okeechobee 4 years ago to hunt and enjoy, says Paul Hyland.  To our surprise the demand for properties like ours are still desirable making ours more valuable then when we purchased it."  This seems to be common comments from many folks we talk with.

The Problem......THE PRESS!  Are you sick of reading or viewing how bad the Real Estate market is?  How quick did the BUBBLE BURST?  Seems like it burst over night last year.  How quick will it turn around, the million dollar question.  The Real Estate market WILL turn around when investors realize that real estate makes sense when investors make sensible decisions.  Buying a 2 bedroom condo with $600 monthly maintenance fees for $400,000 as an investment, never made sense to me.  Purchasing property that you can: fish, hunt, boat, hike, swim, ski, camp or what ever tickles your fancy makes sense.  Study the history of real estate values, you will see hiccups, but overall real estate appreciates.

Cabela's has solid evidence to support this theory.  Launched in February, 2004, Cabela's Trophy Properties has grown from a simple idea into the world's largest purely recreational real estate service in less than 4 years.  Today, Pristine Properties has partnered with Cabela's Trophy Properties specializing in recreational and sporting properties throughout Florida.  Pristine Properties has listings from Key West to the Panhandle, from Fishing Properties to Hunting Ranches, from the $200,000's to Millions.  If you would like more information on these or other properties, please visit www.PristineFlorida.com.

Pristine Properties is also seeking existing Real Estate Brokerage companies and Agents to participate in their recreational and sporting real estate program.  Please visit www.PristineFlorida.com for additional information and how to contact Seth Hayden or Stephen Jara.

I was excited to find your blog- there are not many of us here at AR that sell recreational property.  I do agree that it is the one thing that has not taken a hit like residential has.
