The Fulton, Carr's, & Pea Pod Wars in Lancaster Pa

As many of you know, my wife and I are huge fans of the Fulton Theater in Lancaster, PA. This past weekend, we once again had a chance to enjoy a Fulton theater production. The Christmas presentation of The Sound of Music was once again performed in beautiful fashion. Prior to the production, we dined at a Lancaster, PA favorite. Carr's restaurant which has been a fixture in the downtown Lancaster Pa restaurant scene for many years.

Carr's is conveniently located across the street from the Fulton theater. Carr's is a mainstay of the Lancaster PA restaurant scene, and consistently offers the finest in local cuisine as well as outstanding service. The chef at Carr's changes the menu periodically to reflect the local produce and products that are available. Normally I would include menu items, pictures, etc. however, this post is about something different you will experience at Carr's restaurant in Lancaster Pa.

We have been fortunate enough to experience the dining scene at Carr's restaurant in Lancaster, PA, for the past seven years. In that time, we have never had a bad meal or poor service. What has developed over the years is a fond friendship with two of the staff at Carr's restaurant. They are known as the two Pea's, of course there is a good Pea and the  bad Pea. Depending on which Pea you are speaking to will determine whether you are speaking to the good Pea or the bad Pea. In the end, both are striving to provide the ultimate in service for your meal. The big winner ends up being the diner or customer. It has been fun through the years to get to know both the good Pea and the bad Pea.

When my wife and I make our reservations. We always make it a point to request a certain waitress (the good Pea), and we have been obliged each and every time by the staff at Carr's restaurant. On the rare occasion that the good Pea is not available. She has been kind enough to see that her partner. The bad Pea will cover and we again received outstanding service.

The combination of an outstanding menu as well as outstanding service puts Carr's restaurant above the rest. For us, we walk away feeling that not only have we have an outstanding meal, but as though we have visited with old friends. The entire staff at Carr's restaurant in Lancaster, PA goes that extra step, and it shows. Whether it be behind the scenes, or front-line staff the commitment to quality remains. Thank you. Carr's restaurant for once again exceeding our expectations.

If you are ever in the Lancaster, PA area and have an opportunity to dine at Carr's restaurant, by all means take the time to experience Carr's restaurant. Of course, when making your reservation, ask if you might be lucky enough to request the good Pea. You won't be sorry, because really there are no bad peas, only good Pea's. Tell them GettysburgGerry sent you.

Thanks, Gerry. We always enjoy visiting the Gettysburg area. We were tempeted to purchase a Wormald home at The Links but decided that the location was too far out of town for us. We really like the homes.

 Happy Holidays!
