31 Days of December Challenge- Dec 20- I am so sad today

 December 20:

Yesterday I found out that a friend of mine's 10 year old son, RJ, is in a coma.

We never understand why time on this earth is shorter for some than others, but it is even more difficult when they are a young child. As we celebrate the birth of one child this Christmas Season, I will be praying for the life of a very special little friend.

This kind of news brings everything into perspective. Cherish loved ones, and the real gift of life and health and love we are blessed with everyday, not just the Christmas gifts under the tree.

If you are reading this blog... take a moment now to pray for RJ and his family and all those who are ill or suffering at this very moment. May the peace of Christmas be on all  and may we remember how precious our time is here on earth.

Rita, I'm sorry to hear about your friend and her son. There is nothing more tragic than to have a sick child...it makes you feel truly helpless. We're all praying that RJ will recover.

Rita,

I have offered a personal prayer and have asked that RJ be added to the prayer list at my church.

Thank you everyone.

I am sure your prayers are being heard and i know that RJ and his family really appreciate your kindness.

I have just returned from the Pedeiatric ICU. His condition has not changed... but there is always HOPE.

Again, thank you.

Rita, yes, others' misfortune often gives us a reality check on life. I just prayed for RJ and will continue to pray for him. Keep us up-to-date with his progress.
