'NETWORKING' is one letter away from"NOT WORKING'
Today, I'm with my wife shopping.k Therefore, I'm not working. Tomorrow, I'm Net working1
Michelle, pretty nice way to compare the two. Hopefully, you meant that they are opposite.
I think differently! I believe with today's technology you should be networking! It has it's advantages!
As the saying goes, you can have too much of a good thing. Moderation. Not working, I mean.
At 5 AM this morning I was cutting up a very large Eucolyptus that had fallan across the roadway. Living on a semi rural road we would be last in line for assistance. As I was sawing away a lady whom I've never met came up behind me and started blowing her horn. She wanted to know where the rest of my crew was, how long this would take to clear, and why they sent such an old man to do the Job?
I fished a business card out of my rain soaked clothing, handed it to her and went back to cutting up the tree. A few minutes later she returned with her husband, coffee and a BLT for me.
You just never know when and where you have a chance to network with someone.
Merry Christmas All
Michelle, it's all about communicating with others. We can't wait for someone to come knocking on our door looking for us. Being in a room full of people does you no good if you don't step up and talk to somebody.
I believe my post has been misunderstood by some. Networking is the way to not working (so hard). In sales, it is all about NETWORKING. When we do so correctly we don't have to work as much, our network does it for us!
Happy Holidays to All!
