Satsuki (Lynbrook, Long Island NY) - the BEST Sushi I have ever eaten

I probably shouldn't be sharing this because this wonderful Japanese restaurant in Lynbrook NY only seats about 30 people, but in the spirit of the holidays I will. 

I LOVE sushi. This little restaurant under the LIRR in Lynbrook, NY has the best sushi I have ever had. makes ever other sushi place I have eaten in just OK.

I am sure the rest of their food is also delicious, I mean whatever they are cooking smells delicious, but I go there strictly for their sushi and sashimi.

If you go, you have to have the Tuna Carapccio appetizer. Thin slices of tuna, with a little wasabi infused oil and a hint of shaved parmesan is melt in your mouth delicious. My family knows better than to think I share that particular dish. I do not like wasabi - but in this dish it is heavenly.

My favorite roll is the New Roll - an inside-out roll of tuna tartare wrapped in fresh salmon and topped with tempura flakes - again so light, not heavy at all. Just delicious.

Last night my husband had the sushi/sashimi combo - every piece of fish on the plate was so fresh and delicious.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, but I do advise you call before you go as seating is very limited.
