Need your help in 2011

I have 2 months left on the lease of our current car (a Toyota hybrid Highlander) and I'm beginning my search for a replacement Suv. Style, comfort, gas milage and 5 vs 7 passengers are all factors. I'm wondering, if money is not a factor (just the fact that the replacement needs to be an Suv), does anyone have a suggestion on which way to go? Do I stay with American vs import? Does brand and price make a difference to buyers? See where I'm going with this? Anyone have any thoughts or am I over thinking it?

I always felt that the car is just to get me from one point to another.  But the older I get, the more features start to matter to me.  My first thing was keyless entry, love it.  The next thing automatic seats and sun roof.  I am using my parents's car and there is nothing better than heated seats in New England Winter.  Drive what you like.

I've had my Mercedes ML350 for close to 6 years now.  I bought one of the first ones of the new body style.  When its time to replace mine, I will probably just get another one in a different color.

I went for the 9 passenger, Ford Expedition - wish there was a model that did better on gas, though!

You can sell just as much with a Honda Accord and save a lot of money over the years. Best wishes for continued success. If you must buy a big SUV, buy it this year for the full write off.

Happy Holidays from your friend in Maryland.

Bob I had just this dilemma this year and after test driving and researching many SUVs I narrowed it down to the X3, the Escape, or the Liberty.  I wanted a great Realtor car that was reliable, with reasonable gas mileage, and comfortable for guests. I was really leaning towards the X3 but my practical side won over and I bought the Escape.  I've never been happier. It's reliable, great in the snow, comfortable, lots of room for my signs, and great on gas.  I had after market seat heaters added and it looks professional and added that one feature I felt short changed from the X3. Good luck on your decision

Do you physically put Buyers into your car for showings?   If so, then roominess and comfort are what matters.   If that family of 5 or of 7 is cramped and uncomfortable, they are probably not going to be thinking about the good gas mileage that the car is getting.

It goes without saying, that whatever you drive - whether a Prius or a SUV or an S-Class Mercedes - it needs to be spotlessly clean inside and out.

Good luck with your decision, Bob!
