Christmas 2011 is over and the relatives are still in town. What is there to do in Howard County to get out and about?
There is no better family activity than the annual "Symphony of Lights" display in Columbia, Maryland. Over 70 huge animated and stationary light displays spread out over Symphony Woods.
This event is open nightly from 6pm till 10pm (except December 31st)and will be open till January 2nd.
The entrance fee is $20, but click here for a $5 off coupon. All the proceeds benefit the "Campus Development Plan" at Howard County General Hospital.
Once you pay the admission fee you will need to turn off your car lights and tune the radio to the designated radio station. The entire experience takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
The best value is when you pile as many people in the car as possible. Here is a video made from our visit to the "Symphony of Lights"
