Are You Serious or Just Kidding Around?
Sometimes don't you feel like you are being used?
We all deal with a wide range of strong personalities on a daily basis. We have potential Buyer's that are window shopping, those that want to be chauffeured, and those that are professional lookers.
Buyer's have become few and far between due to the economic downturn and with credit scores being blemished due to people being laid off or falling behind on their payments. This is why pre-approvals are so important. However, we really have to make sure when we do receive these pre-approvals, they are fully legitimate with very minor conditions. They are not worth the paper they are written on unless a lot of the conditions have already been met. Don't you wish you could just say "Are You Serious or Just Kidding Around"?
Seller's have a tendency to want to play games with us on their pricing and do not want to take our lead when it comes to value. They will continually hound us and want to know why their house is not selling. We have to be forthright in what we say and be as tactful as we can as long as we can justify our findings. If they don't want to take your lead, then is it really worth while maintaining that relationship? Don't you wish you could just say "Are You Serious or Just Kidding Around"?
We can all spend much more of our valuable time on working with and broadening our Social Media exposure and advancing our Technology knowledge than wasting it with the game players. This is a serious business and we cannot let ourselves be abused like this. Clients are a gamble in my eyes, but we need to make it where the odds our in our favor, and to do that, we need to make ourselves much more disciplined.
So now I ask you, not just your client, "Are You Serious or Just Kidding Around"?
