Unforgettable...that's what you are!

I spoke with an agent the other day about closing gifts for clients.  So many of us are gift basket givers, gift cards, so on and so on...but, we give the gift for more than one reason.

 

Reason 1: we truly do appreciate the business and trust.  That deserves a gift.  The client has given us a gift of trust, the least we can do is recognize that with a token of appreciation.

Reason 2: we want to be remembered the next time they need an agent.

Because of the second reason I propose a few ideas:

1:  How about catering their house warming party?  I have brought in BBQ, fried chicken, pasta, and even grilled burgers and dogs for these events.  Bring plenty of cards, and have a sign in book.  Use a copier on the guest book and send thank you cards for making your clients day special, of course offer your services in that same note.

2:  Make a book that contains all of their real estate documents include as many extras as possible.  A few ideas include the inspection report, appraisal, original listing, and listing photos.  This is best for buyers because it can give them a before and after feel, but sellers love it too for the records they are able to keep.  Use a supplier that allows you to design the cover with your logo and contact info on the cover and binder.  A good site to do this that has a great tutorial is http://www.blurb.com/tour/  They have a video at the end of the 6 step process that helps us visual learners.

3:  Take a picture of them with their family in front of their house with your sold sign, have it framed.  Make sure it is of a size that needs to be hung up.  Once again, this is more for a buyer than a seller.

Have fun with it, it is a gift!  Gifts are fun!
