Good morning all! I trust your few days off were worthwhile. Now, we can all look forward to 2011. What I learned in 2010 will only help in 2011!
My year that will end shortly wasn't what I expected at all. I did ok but not as well as 2009. What's interesting is that in 2009 the only expectation I had was to let everyone know that I had changed companies. Fast forward to 2010. I had an elaborate set of goals and words to live by. Then reality hit. The bottom line is I didn't do quite as well in 2010.
So it's back to the basics for 2011. My only expectation is to contact my database more often. It will be two-fold. One, to see how I can help them and, two, to ask for referrals, etc. to their spheres of influence. I don't know about you but I'm excited about 2011. It won't be easy but I'm up to the challenge.
I will continue to comment and blog here on Active Rain. But my focus will be more on face-to-face and telephone conversations next year. I don't think social media will be such a large part. Let's face it. Social media can be a balm; it feels good but we also have to look at the results.
