Wow Christmas has been one of my favorite times of the year. I love the Christmas music and the time with family, but man oh man some years seem so crazy that when its all said and done, you are glad it is over. I had a good Christmas with most all of the my family at my house. But that overwhelming feeling of I can't wait until the house is empty again came upon us and by 10:00pm December 25th they were all gone. The quiet returns. Please December 25th 2011 take your time.
I hear you, sista! My tree is down and all the "stuff' is packed away! Time to get my head focused on 2011 - Wishing you a Prosperous New Year! Cheers, Wendy Betts - Vancouver BC
Me, too - I love spending time with family and we have 2 families to visit or host on Christmas day so when it comes 8 or 9 pm, I am ready to just flop and reflect on all the fun and good memories shared.
My hubby took down our tree today! It sure looks empty now! LOL We had peacefulness this Christmas...we went out early and were home by 4 to celebrate a nice and quiet Christmas of our own! it was perfect for us!
I tok down my tree last night. House not as colorful but that peaceful calm is back
Suzie, I like your style. I love the holiday and the family gathering but, Let it Go, Let it Go, Let it Go. I will take down my tree New Years weekend. Thanks for sharing.
I heard 2 women at the post office this afternoon talking about how one had to put her dogs outside IN THE SNOW Christmas day because of her daughter's husband allergies * I commented that her daughter needed ANOTHER husband!
I love the holiday for the family get togethers and the spiritual side of it. I hate this holiday for all of the crazy drivers and traffic rushing to the stores in the belief they have to spend themselves into oblivion to show that they care for someone else.
Quiet never comes quick enough! Soon the kids will be back to school and we will be back on schedule!
The only decoration at the office is the tree without decorations! I think we are all ready for the quiet!
