But the winds howled outside to keep people like myself quite intrenched in our lairs. This however, did not extend to the younger generation of the Becker household.
Sarah, upon loosing a game of Rummy 500 shoveled the stairs, escaping briefly to make s snow angel. Leanne who was blessed with a driver's license, a car and a few good friends had a winter activity planned out. She writes of her experience below:
Today I went sledding with some friends from high school on the hills across from Muddy Pond in Sterling. It was a blast. There were other families there with younger children and it was a very friendly environment. There were eight of us in total and we had plenty of sleds and tubes. The hills next to Chocksett School in Sterling are great for sledding because they offer different hills, one that’s not too steep but offers a smooth ride, and another path that goes up into the woods and is quite steep. When we were there the latter of the two paths had a jump at the bottom and we definitely saw some of our companions catch some air. After our fun afternoon we went to Dunkin Donuts to thaw and drink hot cocoa. Overall it was a terrific day with friends and that makes sledding across from Muddy Pond in Sterling one of the 365 things to do in Worcester County.
