When you break it down ... a half million minutes doesn't seem like much...Well it isn't.
As we age, do you feel the time speeding up as much as I do? ... There is a Kenny Chesney song which tells a story of a man turning 102 years old being interviewed by a reporter. The reporter asks him the question ... "What's the Secret of Life" and this is what he says ...
"Don't blink ...Just like that you're six years old and you take a nap and you wake up and you're twenty-five and your high school sweetheart becomes your wife ...Don't blink ...You just might miss your babies growing like mine did ...Turning into moms and dads next thing you know your "better half" of fifty years is there in bed and you're praying God takes you instead ...Trust me friend a hundred years goes faster than you think ...So don't blink"
Does any of these hit a nerve with you? One did with me... I have 2 daughters who are 14 and 17 and I could swear just last week they were babies and I was wishing for the day we didn't have to change diapers, or watch them every minute of the day to ensure their well being. Well now my oldest is out doing what 17 year olds do ...which is anything other than doing things with her parents!
Today is the 29th of December and we have 3 days left in 2010...Will you spend those 3 days planning for a better next 365 ... What can you do to improve your business, your health, your family life? Will you waste time doing non-productive tasks, or will you concentrate your efforts on what makes you successful and happy? Will you spend more time prospecting or waste effort chasing dead-end leads? Will you spend time goofing off on the Internet or will you take your kids fishing?
So what ARE you going to do with your next half million minutes? Don't Blink!
