Weight Loss Help

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty 1
As a real estate agent I work long hours, eat bad food, and do very little exercise as a result I have a few extra pounds.  My doctor has given me a specific number of extra pounds that I need to loose.  I have tried nutra system and it did not work for me.  Too small of portions and always carrying around my food in a small box.  If there is anyone else out there that shares my problem with me and has had success of relieving yourself of 50 pounds or so I sure could use the pointers and the encouragement.

Listening to your Needs
You make appointments for homes. You make listing appointments. You make appointments for act of sales. You make an appointment to have a better life. You write it down as an appointment. its just as important as any of these others. Sometimes its hard. Or think of it as a business decision as shapely  agents get more business?

When I get home at night and dump the PDA, cell phone, pager, note pads, business cards and empty my pockets; that's about 50 pounds. The stuff we carry around all day gets to be a workout.

What worked for me 8 years ago was exercise, drink lots of water, exercise, eat about 6 small meals a day, reduce alcohol consumption, reduce carbohydrates and exercise. Go to a nutritionist and get started on a weight loss program. I also got a gym membership and that became addictive as soon as I saw results.

I am 6'1" and I was up to 265 lbs. I got down to 225 and then packed  on muscle and you will see results. Start off walking and walk a little further each day.

You may also need to talk to your doctor too and get a physical before you get started.

Best of luck and let me know in a few months how you make out.

Thanks Jay

Bob Pavey is also on a weight-loss kick, and I'm trying to lose my baby weight from the last kid.  Lots of support around here-keep us posted on your progress!  And go tried and true-wear a pedometer if you haven't yet done it-we're all supposed to take 10,000 steps per day and it's a wakeup call to how little we all walk when you see the number at the end of the day.

Wayne,  I just read your post about your escape artist dog.  Here's something to try.  Take your dog for a walk every day in the morning.  A good 45 minute to 1 hour walk.   You will get exercise to lose weight and your dog will be less likely to escape because he will be tired. (maybe)
