Don't hide your ideas...
Three years ago we heard an agent say share all your ideas with other agents, don't hide them. We looked at 
that agent like he was nuts. My thoughts were ‘hey why don't I just give him my wallet' The agent's concept however make a bit of sense when he described his reasoning. His thoughts were that if all agents shared their knowledge and ideas freely it would make the industry better as a whole.
First we offered up our brochures. Told everyone in the office they could use our layout and told them where and how to get them printed for the best price. Agents were extremely grateful, gave us tips and ideas that we still use today. Today we share everything except our client information and other agents in our office are doing the same. I feel that we all have improved overall by doing this and we have developed an upbeat atmosphere.
One of the greatest things of real estate is that there are so many past CEOs or top business people that have come into real estate and have some GREAT ideas. If you get your ideas out there, there is always someone that can improve upon them and make you better in the long run.
