Your Car's Resolutions for 2011...

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Revolution

We are all thinking about 2011 and what we're going to do differently to make our lives better, but what about your CAR? Well, I asked mine and here is what she said:

Resolution #1
Take the First Space

Frantic Driver

When Jay drives me to that store, he always circles the lot looking for the PERFECT spot! Come on already! Just put me in that first spot and let's get a little exercise! In the automobile world we call that "killing two birds with one stone" by saving some gas and getting some extra steps in! Are those extra 20 yards REALLY going to kill ya?

Resolution #2
Declutter My Seats

Jay, you've got to take this one seriously: Throw all those papers and junk things away when you get out of the car! In fact, let me make it easier on you by making a bet: I wager that the cleanliness of this car interior is a great summation of how your week went! Am I right? Further, I bet that if you make it a habit in 2011 to clean out all the junk EVERY FRIDAY afternoon (No, Jay... NOT just throwing it in the trunk) then I bet you'll have a better outlook on the weekend too!

Resolution #3
Merge Magic

Is your name Jay or Scrooge? Have a heart and make it a REQUIREMENT in 2011 to let that guy merge in front of you on the highway. Give 'em a break! They have to get in traffic, just like you. Remember what your high school English teacher always said, "If everyone let ONE person into traffic, then we'd have a lot more happy people and a lot less congestion." Words to live by, Mrs. Baker.

OK, Jay. Let's sum it up: This year you're going to help me be a better car for you by 1) taking that first parking space; 2) Cleaning the mess ever Friday afternoon; and 3) Be nice and let those guys merge!

You won't lose 20 pounds with these, but I bet you'll have a better 2011! Happy driving!
