My blog is gone already!

By
Real Estate Agent with Breckenridge Mountain Top Realtors

I just wrote what I thought to be a pretty good blog on investing in Real Estate and Investment properties in Breckenridge.  Now when I go to look for it I can't even find anymore.  I wrote it about 30 minutes ago.  It seems like the blogs move so fast sometimes they don't get the exposure they deserve.  Anyone else have this happen to the blogs?

Ski season is on it's way!

Ah!!!

The only thing that moves faster than the speed of sound is a post moving down the dashboard.  You can almost see them going into oblivion.  UNLESS it gets featured.

Write good stuff, organize it well and you'll get featured and THEN folks will read it.

Chris, this post is still on page 1 of the Newbies group.  If you look at the dashboard page, you'll find that posts roll off VERY quickly as new ones are put up.  Check the groups you posted to and you will more than likely see your posts have not been lost in space!

Chris;  They can move pretty fast at times but usually you can find it on the first page of the groups you posted too for a few days and then you may have to go to the second page.  Sometimes I will post to a particular group and it won't be there at all which means I've unintentionally broken some rule for that particular group and my blog was nixed.  Always check the rules for posting to particular groups before you actually post if you didn't know to do that already.  I'm glad you were able to find your post.  It's a strange feeling to write a good blog and then not be able to find it.

Fortunately, when you get a comment it moves it up to the top of the groups it is posted on.  Then up top again when you respond to the comment.

It's pretty amazing how many people are blogging on Active Rain now - I know I see the faces of my subscribed posts move like lightning....sometimes I can't even keep up.  (as long as you and Google know where it is......that's what matters).

Here's what I do....find five groups that it really fits and post it to those groups. Most folks have their groups set up so that each recent comment puts it at the top again.

Here's a strategy to get your post noticed...save it as a draft, then publish it at an opportune time (say Sunday morning), then comment like a madman on all the posts you can. This will drive traffic to your blog, and if it's a good one, they'll feature it.

If not, you're bound to get subscribers who will pay more attention. Good luck!
