East Baton Rouge, Ascension and Livingston Parish Fireworks Information

Fireworks in Ascension Parish

If you live in East Baton Rouge Parish all forms of fireworks are illegal for you.

Cross the line over to Ascension Parish and you will find numerous fireworks stands filled with the delightfully fun explosives. Fireworks in Ascension Parish are legal except for the areas of Gonzales and Donaldsonville.

Drive a little ways down Interstate 12 into Livingston Parish and you will again find numerous fireworks stands just waiting for you to stop by. It is my understanding that fireworks in Livingston Parish are legal in all areas except for the cities of Denham Springs and Walker.

If you are planning a fireworks show to celebrate the New Year of 2011, please do so safely.

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

Hi Christina! First let me welcome you to Gonzales! You will love living here!

As far as firework shows, unfortunately, there are no shows that I am aware of around here. Baton Rouge does a good one for the July 4th Holiday but there are no large displays for New Years.

There are many residents in the area that will do their own shows so maybe you will be able to catch one of those from your backyard...depending on where you live in Gonzales.

Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any other questions about the area or things to do around here. Wishing you and your family a safe and prosperous 2011! Happy New Year!
