2011 New Year’s Resolutions Part 3

Yesterday I posted the second 2011 New Year’s Resolution.  I wrote about how you can "Break the habit."  I also mentioned a few positive habits to start which leads to today's resolution.

#3 Spend more time with loved ones
We all know how busy life can get. After spending 40 plus hours behind a desk staring at a computer, working with incompetent co-workers on top of all of life’s other nagging responsibilities – it can really take a toll on the mind. At five o’clock, the last thing on your mind is talking to another person – you just want some alone time. Well, guess what, life is too short to negate your loved ones.

Make it a point to set aside time to spend with your family and friends. You’re going to have more fun if you do and it will help give you a change of scenery from the monotony of cards that life can deal you. If it helps, dedicate certain days of the week to hanging out with loved ones.

In case you are wondering...Tuesday night is now date night with my wife.

Stay tuned for the next 2011 New Year’s Resolution.

What have you resolved to do or change in the new year?

We have a rule in our house that states that business comes first, right after family.  Our children are grown and it is just the two of us. We both understand that business is what makes everything else happen.

Kathy,

That is a great rule.  I might have to borrow it for my family too.  Enjoy the long weekend and Happy New Year.
