Read a great article in the New York Times today about technology and getting the most out of it for the new year.  I thought there were some really great ideas, and inexpensive ways to improve your life, decrease anxiety about losing data,  and increase  your free time.

The idea that intrigued me the most was that of getting rid of Internet Explorer.  I'm guessing most people already have - at least those who pay attention to getting rid of Microsoft products.  According to Sam Grobart, the author, IE is bloated and full of Microsoft excess.

Alexsandra - I am just enjoying a day off, but will definitely read carefully and absorb.  I love technology when it creates more free time.

Thanks for the link Alexsandra ~ I have another reason to get rid of IE - Scribefire!!!  Wouldn't know how to blog without it and it's available free as an addon only with Firefox!!!

Here's to a fabulous New Year!

I only use Internet Explorer when I have to, like for our MLS. It's not compatible in Firefox.

Ellie -- me too.  In fact I am fairly well addicted to technology - even if sometimes it takes more time to set up than it should!

Thanks Jon -- hope you find at least one great idea to adopt.

Lee and Pamela -- I will have to check out Scribefire!  Had not heard of it -- and definitely want anything that will help me blog!

Eric -- I too will have to use it for MLS -- I really don't know why the MLS's don't get with the program and have Safari and Firefox compatible systems!

Alexsandra, thanks for pointing to great article, I started with Firefox ages ago, I was told there was less chance of PC picking up a virus and these days most websites/applicatons work with it.  Happy New Year!
