A New Day. A New Year. A New Broker. What's Next?

What a way to start off the new year!  In 2009 I had two separate signings and closes of escrow on Dec. 31st.  Awesome!  Yesterday, Dec. 31st, I got word that two of my clients' offers were accepted.  Way cool!

Today I am officially starting my new contract with a new broker.  I have been in the same office, with the same broker since I got my license six years ago.  I am a creature of comfort by nature, but I was very fortunate to have found the broker I did, Steve Davis, because he helped to mold me into the agent that I am today.  I am and will be forever grateful to Steve and his wife, Carol.  They were amazing to work for, and will always be  incredible friends.  That's priceless to me.

Because Steve's daughter, Erica Davis, became paralyzed from a rare spinal cord injury, he had to move his family and set-up a 2nd home in Carlsbad so Erica could be near one of the best rehab centers in the country.  Steve would commute back and forth from Lodi to Carlsbad on a weekly basis so that he could be with his family as well as be a working part of his Lodi Realty World office.  This was a very difficult task indeed since the two cities are about a 6 1/2 hour drive non-stop each way.

An opportunity arose for Steve to be able to make a change that he thought he would not do for a very long time, if at all, and that was to sell his Realty World franchise.  Amazingly at the same time, another Realty World broker, Sharon Shaw-Flores, was looking to open a 2nd franchise in the Lodi area.  Voila!

I am now working in an office only two blocks away from my previous office. Realty World Premier Associates Lodi, CA I will have new opportunities to work with other people and perhaps grow my real estate career to even start working the REO listing arena.  One that I've steered clear of, but have always at least worked with buyers of REO properties.

I also received a referral from a friend today for a home buyer ready to make an offer on a home in Lodi.  What a way to start off the new year!

I am saddend by the closing of my previous office of six years, but am excited for the opening of my new office at 225 W. Oak St. in Lodi, CA.  If you're ever in the area we'd be happy to welcome you in to visit and have a cup of coffee.  If you know of anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the Lodi, Stockton CA and surrounding areas, then we'd be honored to assist and take excellent care of them.

So, CHEERS to you all!  Here's to good friends and new opportunities in the new year of 2011.

Randy ... Heck I thought you "moved" ... you're just steps away and still on the way to the downtown "event area!"  Good luck with all the opportunities for 2011!
