Yesterday, I picked up a skinny and shaking little Chiwawa that was running out in the street.  I simply squatted down my by vehicle and it came running up to me.  So, I scooped up this cute, little friend in my arms.  He licked my face and got as close to me as he could to stay warm.

There was no collar or tag so I walked up and down the block, going from house to house until I found it's owner.  We currently have snow on the ground and it was 20 degrees out yesterday.  Once I found the owner he said, "Oh" grabbed the dog and tossed him into its outside kennel.  I said to the owner, "Are you sure you want this dog because it doesn't look like you do and I will take him." The owner goes, "Nahhh. . .We want him."

I regret leaving the dog and can't stop thinking about him (cold and hungry) and plan to go back and offerBlue Mountain Humane Society money for him.  I am sure they will sell the dog.

As I am working on my goals for 2011.  I want to do more and help "Man's Best Friends".  I would like to encourage all of you to do the same.  For more information on how to make a difference in your area go to National Humane Society Website.  You can adopt a pet, volunteer or donate.

Trisha - I am so glad you posted this. There's never a better time to think about all of those creatiures who need a helping hand. The Humane Society and ASPCA commercials they're running now are tearing me up!

Trisha - OMG!!! That poor little fur baby; he sounds like he needs a better home. As a long time dog mama with three of my own fur babies, hubby and I have been lifetime supporters of the ASPCA as well as the the Best Friends sanctuary. These poor little creatures need all the help they can get.

Trish that person to me doesn't sound like they wanted the dog back. Soo sad how some soo called Animals lovers treat their pets. Volunteer and Donation is something that I have included in my Business Plan for this year. Message preached by my Pastor on New Year's Eve made me realize that you have to carve out time out of your business schedule and help other people. Happy New Year to you Trish. May 2011 be a much better year than last year. Great post.
