I have a listing that is very unique and overall is a great property located at 4931 E. Live Oak Rd in Lodi, CA. It has TWO homes sitting on 4.3 acres and has its own small private lake. I love this property and I love to show it very much because it has so much to offer to the right buyer.
BUT, since it has SO much land that hasn't yet been landscaped or even hardscaped, it doesn't show very well when it's been raining cats and dogs for almost two days!
This photo was taken on a beautiful sunny day before our terential rains started soaking everything around us. What a beautiful setting, and how awesome it would be to have your very own private small lake in your backyard.
But today when I went to meet new clients to show them this wonderful property, this is just a little of what they got to view.
Standing puddles of water...EVERYWHERE! Hey, it happens. I understand that, and I assume my buyers will understand that as well. But it certainly doesn't give you or your clients those warm and fuzzy feelings you wan them to have when viewing your listings.
Even through the drizzling rain and the obstacle course of water traps, my buyers were able to look objectively at most of the property and see that it has amazing potential. They now want to reschedule to come back in a week after most, if not all of, the water has dried up or at least seeped into the land so that we/they can walk around the lake, or even drive the golf cart around it and truly get a feel for the beauty and uniqueness of this wonderful property.
Through rain or shine I will go the extra mile to show homes for sale in Lodi and Stockton areas when my clients need / want to. I'll do it, but I sure would prefer it when the weather conditions are much better.
I enjoyed the showing today, and it even lasted for nearly two hours because the buyers were being very meticulous about making sure they saw as much of the homes and property they could today, and that left them wanting to come back for a 2nd viewing, and that's what makes being a good Realtor® all worth it.
Stay warm and dry out there everyone. According to the local area weather report, we should be having some sunny days the rest of this week. So get out there and show some homes and have some fun.
