Noteworthy Days for the Week of January 2 through 8, 2011

Everyone knows the BIG holidays: New Years, Christmas, Easter, Independence, etc.  However, not everyone knows of National Hot Tea Month (January), Appreciate a Dragon Day (January 16th) or even Answer Your Cat's Question Day (January 22).  The kooky things people think up to celebrate and to go so far as to make a national day/week/month of.  I figured I would share the special days of the week every Sunday for you so you can prepare accordingly.  Here are the noteworthy days for the Week of January 2nd through January 8th, 2011:

January 2, 2011:
Happy Mew Year for Cats Day (I've seen alot of cat photos here lately)
National Motivation and Inspiration Day

January 3, 2011:
Fruitcake Toss Day (Although, I think that really should be celebrated anytime you receive one...but that's just my opinion)

January 4, 2011:
Dimpled Chad Day (Don't tell Florida)
Trivia Day (My favorite)
World Hypnotism Day

January 5, 2011:
Twelfth Night
National Bird Day

January 6, 2011:
Epiphany Day (Lightbulb)
Cuddle Up Day (Again, this should be celebrated EVERY DAY)

January 7, 2011:
I'm Not Going to Take It Anymore Day (I'm ready for some of that)

January 8, 2011:
National Joygerm Day (If anyone knows what a Joygerm is, I'd love to hear about it)
Bubble Bath Day (I'll have to settle for sea salt because I'm allergic to bubble bath.  But, I'm counting it anyway.)
Show-and-Tell Day at Work (If you are showing a house, celebrate it!)

Not to be left out, here are the celebrations that happen for the entire week:

January 2-8: Someday We’ll Laugh About This Week (I certainly hope so)
January 3-9: New Year’s Resolutions Week (I'm guessing it is quickly followed on January 10th by the "Oops! I Need to Set New Resolutions Day")
January 3-9: Women’s Self-Empowerment Week (That's one that's celebrated EVERY week in my house)

Happy New Year, everybody!

Heather ... "January 2-8: Someday We’ll Laugh About This Week" pretty much sums up 2010 for me! Better days ahead ... I just know it!

Interesting week, Heather.  Yes, I have seen a lot of cat photos. I must say I like fruit cake--throw it my direction.

Hi, Kathleen.  Thanks for stopping by.  I agree...better days ARE ahead.  I have to believe that!

Mary, my sweet friend.  I just noticed ALL the cat photos that seem to be going on around here and thought it was funny that there was a cat holiday, too.  If I ever get a fruit cake, I'll DEFINITELY send it your way.  Hmmm, I now know what to get you next Christmas.  :)

Heather - I've never actually seen a fruitcake.  Although recently I did briefly see on TV how they were made and I'm not shocked there is a day to toss them.

I don't come across them very often myself, Michelle.  I did see them for sale at Hickory Farms, though.  I'm not a fan and wouldn't wish it on anyone.  Although, Mary (above) says she likes them.  So, there's obviously a market for it.

Doesn't Bubble Bath Day sound like it should be an everyday occurance, Joan?  I think it does.  Although, as I stated, I am allergic to Bubble Bath.  So, I'll just make it Sea Salt Bath Day.  Anything to luxuriate.
