International Real Estate Sales

Real Estate Agent with Marie Avery/RE/MAX Alliance Group

Is anyone doing a lot of international sales?

I'm attending an International Conference in Florida. It has covered topics such as immigration laws related to international buyers, issues, concerns and benefits of working with international buyers. We had Dr Yun an economist do a power presentaion with statistics on international buying in the US. It certainly seems like a growing trend. As the dollar weakens other country's buying power increases making our stable economy and political aspect very attractive ot the outside investor.

Very good information. I've worked with some international buyers, mostly hispanic since I speak fluent spanish. Anyone doing a lot of international business? And how are you attracting the international client?

I just did a search for blogs regarding international real estate looking for more information and I found you.

Knoxville Association is offering (CIPS) Certified International Property Specialist courses.  Do you know anything about that?  I think I want to get that designation as there are less than 25 in my area.  What do you think?

I am working on getting my CIPS designation. You can take some of the courses online, especially the basic starting one.  You also have to have a certain number of international sales.  I think it is a good basis for working with foreign buyers and sellers. You get some very good training on foreign cultures.

Let me know how it goes.

Regarding those international sales.  When do you have to get them by?  Do they show you how to get them as customers in the class?
