Botanical Gardens - Naples FL

Real Estate Agent with John R Wood Realtors SL 3096476

What a nice way to spend the second day of the New Year 2011. Southwest Florida finally warmed up after our record breaking cold so we took our first trip to the Botanical Gardens with our family. What a treat. The plants, trees, water scenes and themes of each garden was a feast for the eyes.

If you have not visited this garden do not hesitate. It was one of my biggest ah- ha moments for the years we have lived here. So much work and effort has gone into this project it is just a pure joy to see. As the days get longer more of the plants, orchids and bromeliads will be blooming. The butterflies from South America are just now starting to come in and some of the trees are starting to set buds.

Lynn, From your post I can see why you enjoy Florida.  Gosh the butterflies are already coming in.  Do they usually come in this time of year?  You live in a really nice part of the country.

Have a great 2011!

They will start coming en masse later in the month. But yes, they migrate from South America and are just beautiful. You live in a great area also! Used to live in Phoenixville, Chalfont and the Doylestown before we moved here.

Here is to a very happy, healthy and busy 2011 to you.

Pam, I see you and I have flowers and horses in common. Used to ride and take care of a barn full of those 4 legged creatures.

Have a great 2011
