Fresh Start for the New Year!
So, we all have resolutions that get started this week, but do we actually follow through to the next year? I am guilty of starting with momentum and then fizzling out by summer. I have decided that this New Year's resolution will be to "stick with my resolutions".
I have been busy with closings and new prospects, but my resolution is to not get caught up in the day to day, but to make a plan for my day, week, and month. This will keep me in line and nothing can fall through the cracks. Sometimes agents can easily be caught up with customers and forget about things like blogging, marketing, and keeping in touch with past customers and contacts. The real estate business, and any business for that matter, is filled with many different aspects that can fill our days and weeks. My goal is to have a plan on what gets done when.
My next resolution is to be more organized. When I am busy showing homes and going to inspections etc., my office gets very cluttered. I think "I'll file it away when I get back". However, when I get back I end up doing something else or procrastinating again.
I think that with my resolutions I will be able to keep my "big resolution" of keeping them up because they both will organize me more to notice what needs to get done and make me do it!
