Pittsburgh RiversMore residents, workers and recreation are just a few of the things that are drawing more people to downtown Pittsburgh and contributing to growth in the Golden Triangle.

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette published a story this week that highlighted some of the great things happening in town. These included a doubling of residents in the city, a significant increase in students downtown thanks to growth of the local universities and more people coming to the Pittsburgh Convention Centercity to enjoy biking, walking and paddling our rivers. The story was based on a 2010 report commissioned by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. Just one more reason that Pittsburgh is a great place to live.

Christe, I see you are from Pittsburgh.  I am from Little Washington.  When I saw where you are from I had to leave you a comment.

Hi Christa,  I graduated from nursing school in Pittsburgh years ago and always loved your city.  Shadyside, Squirrel Hill and surrounding areas...beautiful.  Glad to see the city is doing well.  Have a wonderful 2011!

It's a great city with a great story. We have been so lucky to be growing while so much of the country has been dealing with a tougher market.
