Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Don't run with icicles in your mouth!

As temperatures continued to drop and several more inches of snow fell over the New Year holiday, we woke up to 2 frozen pipes and thanks to my husband's quick thinking, kept them from bursting.

As I took a walk outside, I noticed the icicles hanging from the eave of the house and the first thing that came to mind was Popsicles!

As kids, we'd break them off, suck on them, pretending they were a delicious treat! Ha-ha! Good thing mom didn't know about this!

Gloria, My husband built a fire in a fire pit outside the two walls and they warmed up nicely, thank goodness!

These pictures are always so pretty. I love looking at them from afar. We were freezing here last week when it dropped to 45 degrees in the morning. Anything below 60 and we can't handle it.

Wanda, sure glad for y'all, that y'all did not have any pips burst! It sure was always a lot of fun as a kid to go out in the winter to break off a few icicles to suck on. We would also make snow ice cream.
