White Plains, NY Up 100 % from 2000: There is no housing meltdown in White Plains

Check out the two housing charts below. It looks like the Suburbs outside of New York, specifically White Plains is way ahead of the national housing trend in terms of price. The national average increase in prices over the last 10 year was 4.4 % per year for a total of a 45% increase in total over the decade. White Plains posted a yearly average increase of 10.6 % for a 10 year increase of 107%!!!! What housing meltdown? White Plains Single Family Home Price

Thanks. People are always talking about the housing meltdown. Just not true for many parts of the country. Short term thinking doesn't apply to real estate.
