Hot, Hot, Hot, Best Hot Ideas for 2011-What are Yours?
Last year The Corrigan Group almost doubled our gross and net profit. We often have people ask us how our business is and they are so shocked when we tell them that we just had our best year ever! In the spirit of generosity and in an effort to double our business for 2011, I am writing this post to give you some ideas that worked for us and to pick this growing Active Rain brain for new ideas. I love this community of abundant minded people and have made a goal to be more involved this year.
Lead Generation became a priority!
Two major changes led to our results. First we took a serious look at where our money was going to generate leads. After reviewing different lead generation systems we took the leap of faith and finances to invest in daily internet lead generation activity. We have seen our leads increase to keep our buyer agents busy converting leads and closing business. Immediate follow up is key and our agents are accountable to this expectation. Knowing scripts and dialogs, both verbal and written have led to better conversion. We were surprised to track that 50% of our leads are coming from out of state.
Getting another set of eyes on our business changed the way we do business!
The second change come from the Crankset Group. The number one business book of 2010, by author Chuck Blakeman is "Making Money is Killing Your Business". I know what you are thinking, "What!, I need to Make More Money!" The Corrigan Group was challenged to look at our Big Why, Process Map our Roles and Responsibilities, Work from a two page Strategic Plan and to get "Outside eyes on our business".
Two meetings a month Thom and I meet with business owners from our community. Each owner comes from a different aspect of business. This community is very different than your typical leads group. We have an hour of teaching on some aspect of the four pillars listed above. We track business done with one another. We present "bottle necks" which are issues we need others to have input on. On opposite weeks to the meetings we meet one on one with one another and purpose for ways to genuinely move one another's business forward. It is one of the best things we have been involved with. As Thom Corrigan often says, "I have found my people!".
It's Your Turn!
Okay Active Rain community, here are the two ideas from me (and you can give me a call or email me if you want more details). Now it's your turn. What are the best ideas, strategies, technology tools, that made a difference last year and are still making a difference to your business growth or even personal growth now?
