What Do Real Estate Agents Want From Their Broker

Real Estate Broker/Owner with RE/MAX The Producers

As a Broker/Owner of a real estate brokerage, my wife and I are always looking for ways to add value for our agents.  We recognize that it's a two way street, that we should provide value, and the agent should provide a valued service to their clients.

Why do agents choose the broker they work for. Here are a few points, but I'm sure there some I haven't thought of.

Why do agents join ot stay with a broker?

  • Is it the split?
  • Is it the training?
  • Is it loyalty?
  • Company size?
  • Market share?
  • Fees?
  • Friends at the company

I would be very interested in hearing from agents about what you look for in a broker or think agents look for?

One thing that is frustrating for me as an agent is when I see my brokers doing a ton of business and they refusse to share their marketing methods with me.  Since they are getting a piece of the pie, I would think they would want to help me generate as much business as possible.

Ex-RE/MAX Agent

I would like to have NOT gotten screwed by my RE/MAX broker!  And, having RE/MAX International

protect their agents as much as they do the broker/owners!  I would NEVER go back to RE/MAX;

dead-beat RE/MAX broker/owners are an epidemic throughout the industry!
