The anser is five (four really). The Castilian and Burgundian flags of Spain, the Mexican Flag , the Confederate flag, and the flag of the United States have all flown over the land area that has become Arizona.

Confederate, isn't that wierd. Of course it's before Arizona was a state. At the time it was a territory. There was actually a civil war battle in Arizona involving just a handfull of men.
