And I thought Home Staging and the Real Estate Industry was scary!

I just wanted to share a link showing what my baby brother will be doing for Connecticut Light & Power.  He grew up with 3 sister's and has always been the adventurous one.  He is currently in a 6 week training course.  I couldn't be prouder....but I am a little scared for him too.

Janice, I tried to go to the link but it took me to Road Runner Webmail.  I can only imagine what your brother may be doing if he works for the electric company.  Adventurous would not be a word I would use to describe what those people do.  I watched them work on power lines after the 04 hurricanes here.  It takes balls to do that kind of work!

Wow!  That's the craziest thing I've ever seen!  As a CT resident, I will keep my eyes open for your brother.  I hope he is paid a ton of money for doing that job.  Very scary.

Ok-Not enough money in the world! I felt the same way when my son volunteered to be a gunner on a backhawk in Iraq. I guess someone has to do these jobs but I would rather e the one sitting home worrying.....Safe days to your brother!

Terry - I agree with you...that is frightening! Not sure what he will be getting paid but I know he gets lots of perks since it is a state job.

Debbie - Thanks for your kind words.  I could't believe this was real when I first saw it.  I thought my bro was playing a trick on me!

Bobbi- I agree, totally crazy!  I hope he gets paid a lot too.  He just became a father in February and he was having second thoughts about taking this job since now he is a family man! But if anyone could do it he could!

Cheri - I'm with you.  You would never get me out there!  You are right...someone has to do it.  Your son is a hero and I thank him. :)

Janice, I told my husband about the video and he said he's watched them do that when he was home in Norway.  Apparently its universal and has been around a while.  That kind of job is not for the faint of heart is it?

I like Nora and Susan's comment, that's funny. It takes all kinds for all jobs, just like there is buyer for every house there is a person for every job

Nora & Susan - Thanks, I loved it too.  You are correct...he has 3 sister's and the first girl he dated..her married!

Terry- I thought this job might be done in other areas.  This job is definitely not for the "faint of heart"...kind of like "staging." ;)

Phyllis - Their comment was right on!  Different strokes,,for different folks!

Janice, my husband wouldn't even look at the video - he hates heights and didn't know he was afraid of sitting on the outside of the helicopter - until I mentioned it.  Your brother is one brave soul!!  I couldn't force myself to do that in a million years.  As mentioned above, I didn't know that kind of job even existed.  I wonder what other jobs out there would surprise us - and terrify us?  Betty

Janice - Wow. All my biggest fears all rolled in to one job. There is not enough money on earth that could get me to do that!! But we are so thankful to have someone like your brother that can. I live in Connecticut as well and have never seen anything like that, just the guys in the bucket trucks on the regular street lines.  A very brave man, you should be proud. Thanks for sharing.

Betty - Thanks for commenting. Your husband is too funny!  My brother amazes me.  You should see the extension he added on to his house.  Oh..I feel another blog coming on!

Rhonda - I'm with you...there isn't enough money in the world for me to do what he does!  I am not sure where he will be working in CT but from the pictures it looks like no mans land!

Kathleen - Wow..a roofer.  You go girl.  Would you ever consider doing what my brother does for a living?
