Your new home must have an acceptable zip and service area in Harris County. GreenECO Builders has several qualifying neighborhoods.
What are the Harris County Down Payment Assistance Program (DAP)
Purchaser Requirements?
- Take a homebuyer certificate program from an approved homebuyer education course provider
- Live in the new house for a minimum of 5 years, depending on the amount of the award
- Have at least $350 or 1/2 of lenders down payment, as required toward the purchase price to invest in the house
- NOT have more than $10,000 in liquid assets (stocks, cash, or bonds)
- Have at least one credit score of 620
- Buyer's debt to income ratio (DTI) cannot exceed 42%
- Be credit and program approved through an approved lender.
- Every member of the household must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
- B a first time homebuyer, or have not owned a house for 3 years prior to applying for
assistance, and be income qualified by the chart below
