Who's tracking their website hits out there?

Real Estate Agent

I'm just curious who's taking advantage of google analytics? Many many of you already know about this - but for those of you who don't know - google analytics is a service that provides detailed website statistics - FOR FREE! Awesome - I know....

Depending on how your site is designed - it could take you a few short minutes - or you may need to call your web guy to help - but honestly - once it's set up it's a lot of fun to watch. You need to start with a google account - so sign up if you haven't already. On google's home page - you'll see a link below the search bar - click on the Business Solutions link. You'll find analytics in the second column - click it. It brings you to a page that talks about Google Analytics - click on the right hand blue button which says 'access Analytics'. It's now going to ask for your google sign in info - go ahead and fill that in.. don't worry, I'll wait. :) Now you're in - why don't I show you a video instead of typing it... toggle back and forth between the Youtube and your own google page - press pause if it's going to fast - and just go step by step.

Track your visits - see what pages are most popular - how long visitors are staying on your site - see how often they return - see how they're finding you online - and if they're using search engines you'll be able to find out what search terms they've entered to bring your site up.

Here's a YouTube from Google showing you how to use it properly.

I really can't tell you how valuable this feature is - you're going to have to try it out yourself - send me an email if you have any questions as to how you can get it onto your site!

Thanks for reading, folks!! Hope it was a great day!!

It is vital for anyone with a site out there.  Great post Emily sharing this so all can do this. I have tracking from our website as part of our pricing, but this is awesome for free.

I don't but my web guys do.  There are some pretty funny things that come up in the search results too.  My main website does seem to rank really well for any of the stores I do posts about for some reason!

Google Analytics is one of the best tool to track traffic and because it's Google it's user friendly and does what it's supposed to do.
