My Family, My Church, My Active Rain Addiction...

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executives Nampa, ID

When asked, “how addicted to Active Rain are you?” I had to think of a few times I felt like I went a little over the top with AR.

Probably the most recent situation was when I was scheduled to take my son to the airport to fly back to L.A. I figured I would be done in time to get back to the office & read a few posts and get my “Rain Time” in.

Not too long after I was on the road, my other son texted me and asked if I had time for dinner. He wanted to talk to me about a business opportunity.

So, first, I hurried my wife and my son's girl friend at the airport, saying their goodbye’s, dropped them off at home and then rushed to meet my oldest son for a late dinner. It was crunch time, but I got done in time to have about 45 minutes of AR time before the clock struck midnight (AR Time).

I've even been so addicted, I cut shapes out of paper and took my own photos of crazy objects!

Active Rain Umbrella

I'm a sick man...

Another incident was on a Sunday morning, I popped into the office to check e-mail (and AR) and completely got engulfed in reading blogs, only to realize I was late for church.

I’m sure I have even missed a listing appointment or two

by being caught up in the Rain.

A Realtor has to have their priorities right. I’m just sayin’!

If family and God time both suffered, how addicted am I?

Am I addicted to the Rain?

You bet your best umbrella I am!

Is there a 12-Step Program to get help?

I'm never too busy to help with your Idaho Real Estate Needs...

Whoa! That's serious! Late for church is probably not a good thing. I love your paper cutouts, Don! Yeah...some people might say you have too much Activerain on the brain. Not me, though! Keep on posting!

Don - You are not alone. I think, I am also addicted to Active Rain community, however it is a good addiction. Happy New Year, and success in 2011.

Don -

There is no hope....no AR-AA.

No 12 step-program.....and definitely no anonymity at meetings.

John, it's nice to know I'm not alone. That in itself gives me hope... of some kind.

Jim, I may need a shoulder to rain on, if there is no 12-step program. Monday night, however, I will be addicted to the Ducks!

Yeah, I've been there...I Have a BIG Problem with Active Rain and on more than one occasion I've been blamed for that addiction...We're Addicts and We Blame It on Karen!!  Most people around here don't seem at all interested in the cure for this particular addiction.  I gues there are worse vices to have, right?

Don, you are way too funny. As I sat in my chair finishing my Bible study this morning  promised myself that I'd actually get something productive done today. Besides active rain! LOL

I hear rumors there are some people so addicted to Activerain that they take time from their vacation to meet people in other states just to take photos of them and find out what their area is like. (Doesn't that sound crazy???)
