It has also been wonderful to see the growth of a number of Groups that are Creating a Positive Atmosphere on the Active Rain Network such as Celeste "Sally" Cheeseman's Positive Attitude for the Weary Soul , Selling Soulfully founded by Jennifer Allan and Jo-Anne Smith's Inspiration.  If you enjoy Fraiche Aire and have not yet done so, Check out these Groups to add some Positive "uplift" to your day!

With So many Excellent posts floating around the Network, The RendeVous would like to Know about your Favorite Posts!  What Posts havawarde:

    • Been a Source of Inspiration or
    • Provided Loads of Laughter & Good Fun.

Fraiche Aire Reading Room

The Fraiche Aire Reading Room TOP 10!

When Fraiche Aire Founder, Lola Audu met up with Matt Heaton at the Chicago Land Active Rain Celebration, he shared his thoughts on Groups.  According to Matt, as the network grows, "Groups will become an increasingly important Feature on the network. They will in essence become communities within a larger community.

Groups allow the members to focus on areas of interest.  Groups also highlight relevant content.

Today, the RendezVous Reading Room Selects the Top 10 Posts on Fraiche Aire. The list was selected at the RendezVous' discretion to include a variety of contributing bloggers and the number of comments.  (Please for some individuals there were several entries which could qualify for this list, but the RendezVous in the interests of variety is mentioning each blogger only once)

Here's the RendezVous' Selection for the Fraiche Aire Top 10!

How I Got 500 Comments on my AR Post in 3 Days by Ralph Nudi is a post that has developed raving fans!  Ralph posted this blog in early April.  While he didn't get 500 comments in 36 hours back then...he's now at 597!  I think we should help him get to 1000!  If you haven't visited this post...you've got to!  Com' mon and do your part to get 1000 Comments on Ralph's post.  Let's Create another Active Rain Classic.

The Multiply...Chat Room...Hijacking Syndrome by TLW*  With 268 Comments, this post is hilarious.  Be forewarned...the image on this post is ah..may I say a tad "racy."  I think we can get this post to 300 Comments with just a little supportive effort. :)

Laurie Manny* Celebrated her First Birthday on Active Rain with this post.  With 123 Comments, Laurie is number 3 on our List.  Lauries role as an Active Rain Moderator has done much to make Active Rain a thriving community.  If you haven't had the chance to say Thank You...perhaps a comment on this post would be a great place to start!

When Renee Burrows* Posted about her Top 100 Posts, People, Products, Groups/Ideas That have Influenced/Changed me on Active Rain...I don't know if she anticipated over 100 Comments!  Renee wrote this post in March, but 6 months later, people are still discovering AND responding to the wealth of information she shared in this post. Renee indicates that it took her quite some time to compose the post.  Well, the effort was worth it as she has provided a lot of Inspiration to many.  If you've never seen this list...well, what are you waiting for?

Lola Audu's* recent post about Gen Y & some insights that "Slapped her Upside the head" is Number 5 on our list with 94 Comments. This post struck a chord...many of us are struggling to figure out how to serve the "emerging young consumer"  Gen Y's are 76 Million strong and have already had a tremendous social and economic impact on our culture.  There's a lively discussion along these lines occurring on another Fraiche Aire Member's blog, Jeff Turner about whether Buying a House is Social Activity. Check out both of these discussions for some helpful insights about the "evolving real estate consumer."

Allison Stewart's* post on Whether Buyers are Playing Fair had us all thinking....This is a hot issue in a market where sellers have faced significant challenges in selling their homes across the country.  With 90 comments and over 2200 views, this post is definitely worth reading if you missed the discussion the first time around.

We all loved "Looking for a Love Connection" by *Suzanne Sands-Sommerset, the Founder of the Active Rain Fitness Club. With 90 comments it definitely makes Fraiche Aires top 10 List.  In a challenging market...real estate sometimes feels like the dating game in the worst kind of way!

The Active Rain Article Contest was organized by Mark Flanders in an effort to improve the quality of posts on Active Rain.  The contest generated a lot of response and tons of great posts.  Check out the First Place Winner and the Group that was generated "Prime Time" in which many excellent posts were submitted.

Another Contest which generated a real sizzle this year on Active Rain was the "Green is Red Hot Contest" sponsored by Echo Broker and Fraiche Aire Member janeAnne Narrin.  Craig Schillers* post on Recyling, A Full Circle Moment featured very prominently in this contest.  As a home-stager, he brings a unique and interesting perspective in this environmentally focused post.  With 62 Comments, Craig is Number 9 on our Top 10!

But Wait, we actually have a TIE for our number 9 Position.  janeAnne Narrin founder of the ECO~All Stars Group also has 62 Comments in her post Making Authentic Connections Online...and OFF is a fabulous example of the power of Localism.  Blogs work...if you work them.  janeAnne's post proves that!

Rounding off our top 10 it Therese Vandermeer's post on What we hear about Young People and how This Differs from How we Treat them.  Therese asks some good questions.  Her personal experience is something that resonated with a lot of people.

RendezVous in Black & White Honorable Mentions:Honorable Mentions

Kelli Fronobarger had only been on Active Rain for a month when she wrote this post on What I Have Learned from Active Rain.  At that time, Active Rain was about half the size it is today.  However, the points that Kelli makes are still extremely relevant.

Celeste "Sally" Cheeseman's post about Blogging for Business on Active Rain is Full of Excellent Tips!  Read it to Learn how to make the most of your Active Rain Blog!  Sally is a relatively New Member of Fraiche Aire but we appreciate her thoughtful and timely contributions.  In addition, Sally hosts the Group Positive Attitude for the Weary Soul.

Another new Member to Fraiche Aire Ann Cummings wrote about Active Rain Friendships.  It's an Inspiring Posts that makes you feel good about being a part of something good...and bigger than yourself. Find out who Ann runs into while on vacation in this post.

Jeff Turners post about Muthahood...a Tribute to his wife Rocky is an Active Rain and Fraiche Aire Classic.  It's a wonderful celebration of womanhood and motherhood...in my humble estimation, 2 of the most inspiring positions on the planet!

The RendezVous gives a "Shout out" to Ron Winther.  His post on Lizzie Palmer has generated over 11,000 VIEWS!  This is an extraordianary tribute. Take a look if you haven't already.

And Finally in closing, the RendezVous is happy to Welcome back from a brief hiatus, Diane Rice.  Diane is one of the Founding Members of Fraiche Aire. It's good to see her blogging again.  Her post about Active Rain Buddies is our final Honarable Mention.

Have a cup of tea*New Members Section will return for the next Rendezvous in Black & White.  Meanwhile, if you've been here for awhile and notice a New Face, please stop by their blog & say hello!

Lola...

Now that was a nice walk down "Memory Rain Lane". Thank you. I had forgotten about some of these posts.

It's always good to see them re-surface. Except of course "The Multiple Hijacking Syndrome". I am kind of embarrassed by that one.

Wanna know why? Okay. That was the post where I fell asleep at the keyboard. LOL. I guess that's not a bad memory. Kinda of funny now that I think about it :)

So...How come this Classic Post is not on the list?

I bet you didn't know that I occasionally go back and read that one :)

TLW...ROAR!

Hi TLW, Thanks for stopping by.  We so appreciate your presence on Fraiche Aire.  As I scanned through the list, I was inspired by how many top rate posts you have written and given our members the joy of reading!  THANK YOU!!

There were so many posts of yours that could be chosen, but as the criteria for the Top 10 included the number of comments per individual member ...this one had the most! Your posts on reciprocity have also been an extraordinary challenge to so many of us.  We are all watching and learning...Thanks for leading by example!

Wow Lola, what a post.  There's a lot of information here.  I want to reiterate the quote you have from Matt.  Groups are becomming more important.  As the Network grows connections can become frayed.  It is through associating with like-minded colleagues that we can maintain strong connections with each other.

Hi Caleb, Thanks for your comment and sharing your insights. Until it is experienced, it may be hard to understand how important being a part of a community/group can be in a social networking context.  Apart from areas of shared interest, communities and groups can also provide support and encouragement to the individual blogger.

I deeply appreciate the hard work and countless hours that you and the "team" at Active Rain have invested in creating a community which has had a significant impact in the real estate industry and in my life personally.

Lola, from the moment i met you through your writings, i discerned the uniqueness in your leadership style that carries an anointing to gather.  Where ever you go, you spread goodwill with wisdom and earnestness.

Though you are going to attribute what you've learned to others, WE ALL KNOW, from evidence that you were chosen and bred from childhood to have evolved to this.  Active Rain's is blessed to see you carry out with excellent articulation what is so inherent in you.

So honored and surprised i am to have been selected.... thank you!

LOL I always wonder why I get responses on the old stuff later.  It is so hard to keep on top of AR and when an old post is dropped.  Thank you so much for the honorable mention Lola.  You are such an asset to this community with a large reader base :)
