For me it's about 1:45mins - 2 hrs drive to Big Bear Mountain if I want to frolic in the snow. Can see it down in the valley where I live and it is breath taking. I look forward to seeing the snow cap mountains every year.

Oh yes from anywhere in the valley you can see the snow cap mountain of Big Bear. I went once a long time ago. Wouldn't mind going again just to see the snow up front and personal. =D
