Ok so we all have facebook pages and possibly a number of other social media tools like twitter, linked in etc... My post today will address mostly the facebook page today. I have alot of real estate friends on my facebook page for the most part they are really good discussing holidays, kids, family, news and events.
Now to the pet peeves it seems to start slowly one or two listings posted on facebook then they start posting five and ten in a row. The next thing you see is a not so subtle call me I am the best agent post. I have to say the I just closed a house today or the showing all day posts are ok with me. The I am the best agent posts definitely a pet peeve!
So far I have just been hiding the posts I mean come on is it really necessary to put the call me I am the best agent stuff out there? I have several hundred "friends" on my facebook from all over the world and they all know I am a REALTOR but I can tell you I don't put all my listings on facebook and I never say call me I am the best agent. I just figure by putting out the occasional just getting home from a closing or spending the day showing houses people know that I am a busy REALTOR. I don't even mind when they put the occasional new listing post.
OK so now do I start deleting these people from my facebook page? What is the solution here? I even had a post the other day where I posted dear fellow real estate friends please know that I am going to start deleting you. I only had one real estate agent write an objection but I have to say the non REALTORS strongly agreed and said they thought it would apply for any business real estate included.
