What's your poison, your favorite ice-cream, activity, movie?

Do you have a movie that you watch every time it rains? (If it is breakfast club, you need to be on my wife's blog)  A favorite comfort food for every bad closing, or a celebratory Cigar for all the good ones?

If you are like me, you can probably answer yes to some of these questions.  And if you are reading this, Active Rain may have become one or a part of one of those rituals.

In my case, it started slow.  I like to write and used to do it for a living.  The things I wrote however, only a very select group of Americans were allowed to read.  (Unless Wikileaks has my stuff, which I doubt) Active Rain is a completely different platform.

It's all about the ideas. 

I drive on the roads every day and always look around at the other cars.  I have watched the progression go from Steel rims to Hub caps, to chrome, to spinners and powder coated, yet I still have not seen square tires.  This means that no one has re-invented the wheel, they just MAKE IT THEIR OWN!. 

The "products" I put out here are designed for the average person and I like that.  I enjoy knowing that I am being read by many people and hopefully, once in a while, someone takes a point or two and makes it their own.

More importantly (to me), I greatly benefit from the community.  I take ideas and improve on them by combining them with other ideas, rolling them all into my business and creating a more marketable me.

I guess the bottom line is this.  Am I addicted to RAINING as in ActiveRain, or just the information gleaned therefrom?  I would venture a guess that I am obviously a huge fan, and yes the way it is laid out is genius, but addiction is such a difficult label to apply.....but then again.....I certainly cannot walk away from it.  I'm not just a "Social Rainer".  I can't go a few weeks without......so yes, I guess the label fits.

Of all the adictions to have, this one would certainly be the best!
