Great economic news to start 2011 off: Austin is ranked as 3rd best job market in the U.S., according to Forbes magazine. While we've felt that Austin has been outperforming the nation as a whole, it's still nice to hear confirmation from time to time. Thanks to our status as a capitol city, our large technology firms continuing to expand, and the city's commitment to green tech innovation, we're hovering around 7.1 % unemployment & a low job-seeker to opening ratio of 2.93 to 1.
Here's to hoping the positive employment news spreads some love into the housing market in 2011.
