Extraordinary Listings in Edmond, OK

Talk to any Edmond REALTOR and you'll hear the stats.  They can tell you the average price per square foot, average days on market, or average list price.  Most of the time real estate is all about the averages.  But what about the extremes?  The biggest, the smallest, the most expensive or the cheapest?  Most of the time those listings get very little notice.  They are anomalies.  For fun, let's give these guys a moment in the spotlight.

Size matters.  The biggest home sold in Edmond during 2010 has 5 bedroom, 5 full bathrooms, 2 powder rooms, 5 living areas, and 2 dining rooms all within a whopping 14,658 square feet of living space.  That's bigger than an average neighborhood grocery store!  The smallest home that sold in Edmond in 2010 has just 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living area and a dining area.  It is just 520 square feet.  Not much bigger than a standard hotel room.

Everyone is always looking for a deal.  Well someone got it in 2010 when they purchased the cheapest Edmond home.  The home sold for just $30,000 or $26.64/square foot!  Can you imagine that?  The other extreme was the spendiest home.  The most expensive Edmond home sold for $2,399,000 or $358.01/square foot, wow!
