Uptown Charlotte NC - Historic Fourth Ward - JAN 2011 Market Update

4th ward charlotte nc market reportHistoric Fourth Ward, comprised of the the northwest quadrant of Charlotte's Uptown area which was resurrected in the mid-1800s, was one of the more prosperous areas of town, providing homes to local merchants, physicians and ministers.  The First Methodist, First Presbyterian, and St. Peters Episcopal Churches are all part of the Historic Fourth Ward and by the 1900's, became nearly desolate as many residents moved to the 'suburbs' of Dilworth and Myers Park
The area, located between Trade Street to the south, 11th Street to the north, Graham Street to the west and Tryon Street to the east, is now considered the residential district of Charlotte's Uptown.  History abounds at every corner in Fourth Ward; Charlotte Uptown's Fourth Ward area continues to grow vertically too!

And if you're in the market for a unique, upscale condos and townhomes for sale in Charlotte NC's Fourth Ward, here is the recent market report for the most commonly searched condos in the area.  Two bedroom units with 1-2 baths are the most searched condos for sale in Uptown Charlotte.  Following the 2010 bottom, we're seeing the market creep up ever so slowly but, improving nonetheless.

Debe, Happy New Year, I love your Market Report, a bit hard to accept 12-14 months worth of inventory, hope that will shrink a bit this year.

Great chart, Debe. I've been looking at how to incorporate info on absorption rate. Jeff Dowler got me started in that direction, but I haven't added it in yet.
