"Pay it Forward" Donations of clothing and household goods

By
Real Estate Agent with Metro Life Homes

Every New Year I feel it's time to cleanse my home to start the New Year fresh.  This year I have donated lots and lots of clothing and household goods to my local charity.  Along with it I donated cash which they were  grateful for as well.  It feels good to be able to recycle things from my home knowing that these items will all be put to good use.

Have a great week.  Cheers!

It is a great way to start a new year.  Out with the old and in with the new.  Giving to others who may benefit is a great thing.

Richard, I always donate clothing, furniture and household goods... but never have donated cash to my local goodwill or charities other than your youth sports, St. Jude and many cancer awareness organizations. Great job for you~! Feels great to give. ;)

Somehow we end up donating clothes 3 or 4 times a year. Not sure how the closets keep getting filled up, but I blame it on the kids! it is a good feeling to know that it goes somewhere that it will be helpful. Great post!

Hi Richard~ The start of a new year is a great time to clean out the closets and the cupboards.  My husband just mentioned to me today that he needs to go through his side of the closet, guess I should do the same!
