Saturday, September 15th was our associaltion's World Wide Staging Day - where all ASP Stagers take the day and give free staging to someone that needs help. This year we chose the Good Neighbor Center in Tigard, Oregon. This shelter has bedrooms to serve up to 9 displaced families with a total capacity of 36 clients allowed to stay up to 5 weeks. During that time the staff helps them get on track self sufficiently and assists in providing stable housing.
We spent the day painting the community rooms and bringing in art work and staging to make these rooms more appealing and bright and cheerful. Another group of stagers were at one of the Center's residential houses staging for them. We all want to give back to the community that we work and live in, and this is a good way for us to do what we do best.
