Greater Nashville Covered in a Blanket of Snow. Three to four inches of snow may not seem like a lot for those from the Northeast, but down here in Greater Nashville TN...it is a lot of snow...and it is still coming down. Many have called in to say...not coming to work today. The roads are getting better...but then again snow begins again.

Counties in the Greater Nashville area such as Davidson, Williamson, Rutherford and Maury have canceled school. A holiday for the children who are all out making snow angels in their Franklin backyards or trying out those new sleds at one of the fabulous Brentwood Parks.

I know that there will be lots of hot cocoa on the menus today. So whether you want to sit by fire with a good book, our try out your new Uggs today is the day in Greater Nashville, TN

Dallas experienced the same thing yesterday.  Roads aren't to bad today but I am ready for warmer weather!

I'm sure that being from snow country, this is quit entertaining to you. I am not from the north, but always enjoyed driving in the snow, so it's funny to watch the panic on the faces of some drivers when someone pulls out in front of them. Thanks to anti-lock brakes, most people are able to stop a little better, but physics are still not to be ignored. Tow trucks will be busy for a few days.

Diane...snow is pretty there is o denying that; snow is also not so good fro many drivers-even here in Michigan, many drivers would do best to stay inside until the a.m. & p.m. 'Rush hours' are over.  tonight to make things less than desirable, someone on the Local 4 News decided to predict how much extra driving-time each p.m. trip would take.  Helpful to those waiting at home--not needed for those stuck in traffic.
For Southern drivers who have not driven in winter here in MI, it appears that many Michiganders drive "as if" they too are new to the state.  Stay warm out there.  Stay home if possible.
Have a great rest of the week.
